Envision Consulting Finalizes CEO Search for New Directions For Veterans

Envision ConsultingEnvision Consulting Executive Recruitment New Directions Veterans Yvette Kelley, a Los Angeles-based nonprofit consulting firm, finalized the President and CEO search for New Directions for Veterans (NDVets), with the hiring of Colonel Yvette Kelley on August 22, 2016. NDVets is a nonprofit organization that helps our nation’s veterans successfully address the challenges after military service. Colonel Kelley is a military veteran with 30 years of military experience in project management, training, strategic planning, financial management and problem solving.

“My 30 years of Army service has taught me to never leave behind a fallen comrade and New Directions puts this into practice every day by helping veterans achieve fulfilling lives,” says Colonel Kelley. “I am proud to be part of this organization and I look forward to working with the dedicated staff and board to continue this vital work and expand efforts to help even more veterans in our community.”

Previously, Ms. Kelley was the Director of CENTCOM Outreach Program at The Pentagon in Washington, D.C., where she strengthened relationships with the Department of Defense, Department of State, foreign dignitaries and other organizations. Also, she represented CENTCOM to numerous agencies on issues affecting the Middle East. She also served as the Garrison Commander at Fort Rucker performing city manager duties for a large and diverse military helicopter training base.

After several months of searching nationally for viable candidates, more than 50 applicants applied for the President and CEO position. Candidates participated in a rigorous interview process, which included several interviews, a strengths test and a presentation to the NDVets search committee. Envision partnered with John Dorger, Principal of Dorger Consulting, who brought significant leadership and military context to the search process.
